Afternoon!

As I get ready to buy some stuff and mod my X, is there a particualr body shop in Tucson that everyone recommends that can help install them. Also is there a local shop that sells suv gear like front grills/(Shrock ones look awesome) off roading rims and roof racks. I was gointg to get the stock rack that nissan offers.\

I tend to tweak it a little bit, but I wont be using my X for "hardcore" off roading. Just light trailblazing.

I know of Az Truck Outfitters may have some stuff.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Here are my two coins worth...

Start with the things that are going to get you out wheeling... ‘cause that's what it's all about, right? Worry about the looks and conveniences later (shoot, I’m still caring around my spare in the cargo area… I need other things a lot more than a tire carrier even thought I would really love one… but not having a tire carrier won’t keep me from wheeling).

So start with tires and/or a suspension lift.

Look at all the previous posts here and on the other Nissan sites about what people have done, what people have bought and what people like and dislike. There is more information than you can handle, but all of your answers will be there. Make a choice that best fits YOUR needs and wants.

And by the way… I don’t know of anyone that has a front grill…

Tires are very important, however, the Xterra will go a long ways off road without a lift.  I think that sliders would protect your rig and go a long ways to keep your truck nice.

That is my 2 cents.

Thanks for the advice! I have somethings lined up at 4wheel parts here in Tucson, to get rims, tires and a lift!
