February 2010 Xcursion (Pictures)

We had another great year at the 3rd annual 4 Peaks Pickup.  There were 13 Xterras, 3 Frontys, a Pathy, and 2 other vehicles in our group.  In total over 400 volunteers came out, and we filled 4 giant rolloff dumpsters with trash from 20 different sites along 4 Peaks Rd and Sycamore Creek Rd.

I only took a few pictures, so hopefully more people will post theirs up.









This Ridgeline with p-tires got stuck in the creek while towing 3 quads.  Luckily, the guy from Sierra Expeditions was there to pull him out.

Well, it was an amazing year again. THANK YOU from Danica and I to all of the many volunteers that came out and the many sponsors that lent a hand in making it so successful this year.

-Just under 500 people came out to make the day a giant step forward to cleaning up our Arizona deserts.

-Almost 25 TONS of trash were cleaned up filling 4 and a half large dumpsters!!

I guess we are supposed to thank BFGoodrich? For supplying three porta potties for the clean up effort.
Unfortunately they were all locked so we had to use other facilities.

Good news. You're all heroes!! I'm making some thank you cards for all of the folks that donated items and then I can finally write a nice check to Tread Lightly. Much of which is because of the AZ Xterra Club!
